Family Picnic in New York City

The lucky winner will enjoy a family trip for four to New York, to enjoy the perfect picnic in Central Park.

If you are not lucky enough to win the main prize, 200 runners-up will receive a branded Warburtons picnic blanket. Winners will be chosen at random and the judge’s decision is final.

NB. Travel is valid until the end of March 2009 excluding July and August.

The competition closes at 11:59pm, Friday 27th June 2008.

The winner will be chosen at random from the entries received and will be within 28 days of the promotion closing date.

SPECIFIC COMPETITION RULES

  1. Travel is not permitted over Christmas, New Year, Easter & Bank Holidays. Any other exclusion dates specified if applicable.
  2. Travel is valid until the end of March 2009 excluding July and August.
  3. Insurance is not included.
  4. Transport to locations in New York is not included.
  5. Spending money is not included.

PROMOTIONAL RULES

If you are entering our competition it's important to read our terms and conditions:

1. All promotions published on this website are subject to these rules (Promotion Rules). By participating in any promotion, you are deemed to accept these Promotion Rules, together with any terms and conditions of any relevant third party.

2. This promotion is restricted to residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of Warburtons, their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected to the relevant promotion. Proof of eligibility must be provided on request.

3. No purchase of any kind is necessary for this free prize draw, follow the directions and any Specific Rules for the relevant promotion as published on this website.

4. Failure to claim a gift, prize or other promotional item by the time or in the manner specified for the particular promotion will make any claim invalid. No responsibility is accepted for entries damaged, lost or mislaid and proof of posting or emailing will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt. No applications will be accepted by agents, in bulk or from third parties.

5. Prizes, gifts and other promotional items are as described on this website. Unless otherwise stated holiday prizes will be for the winner only and will include return economy flights from a London airport and accommodation at a hotel and venue chosen by Warburtons. Insurance and travel to and from airports is excluded. Holiday winners are responsible for ensuring that they, and any person travelling with them, hold valid passports and any necessary visas and travel documentation for the trip in question.

6. In the event of any dispute regarding the Promotion Rules, results or any other matters relating to a Warburtons promotion, the decision of the Company shall be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. The Company reserve the right in their reasonable discretion: (a) to disqualify any claimant, competitor or nominee whose conduct is contrary to the spirit of the Promotion Rules, or the intention of the promotion and to declare as void any or all of their claims or entries based on such conduct; (b) to add to or to waive any of these Promotion Rules or any on reasonable notice; and/or (c) to cancel the promotion or any part of it at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond Warburtons reasonable control.

7. Prizes and other promotional items are not transferable, may not be re-sold and are subject to availability. The Company reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any such gift, prize or item with a gift, prize or item of equal value. There is no cash alternative.

8. In relation to prize draws and competitions, the prize winner(s) will be chosen from all qualifying entries by an independent judge employed by Warburtons. The prize winner(s) will be chosen within 28 days of the promotion closing date specified in the Specific Rules.

9. Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and Warburtons reserves the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs, audio and/or visual recordings of them and any media submitted by them in relation to any Warburtons promotion in any publicity. Winners are asked to co-operate fully for publicity purposes if so required.

10. Any information submitted by you relating to a promotion must be personal and related specifically to you. You warrant that any information or material which you submit to Warburtons will not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening. Warburtons reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by you and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove such information.

11. Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and Warburtons privacy policy.

Picnkr

ADDITIONAL TERMS FOR PROMOTIONS THAT REQUIRE ENTRANTS TO SUBMIT IMAGES, VIDEOS OR OTHER MEDIA

In promotions that require entrants to submit images, videos or other media the following terms also apply:

13. All participants of the Picnkr competition will be notified by email to confirm that their picnic spot has been added to the interactive map.

14. All participants of the Picnkr photograph competition will be entered into a prize draw for a year’s supply of Warburtons bread (£120 worth of Warburtons vouchers).

15. The Picnkr photography competition closes at 11:59pm, Friday 1st September 2008.

16. The Picnkr winner will be chosen at random from the entries received and will be notified by email within 28 days of the promotion closing date.

17. Warburtons cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the promotion or as a result of accepting any prize. Warburtons is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or failure of an entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in relation to the promotion.

18. The entrant is the individual submitting the media (i.e. the person who can be reached at the relevant email address). If the person(s) whose image is captured in any images, videos or other media is different to the person submitting the media, the person featured in the image shall have no claim to the prize or any part thereof.

19. Entrants must ensure that any person or persons whose image has been used in the relevant promotion entry has given valid consent for the use of their image or has waived any rights they may have in the images, videos or other media submitted. Failure to adequately demonstrate this consent to the satisfaction of Warburtons may result in the entrant's disqualification from the promotion and forfeiture of any prize.

20. In consideration of Warburtons granting entrants a right to enter the relevant promotion, each entrant automatically hereby grants to Warburtons an irrevocable, exclusive, royalty-free, world wide licence for the full period of copyright to use, alter, adapt or sub-licence such rights to any third party the images, videos or other media submitted by the entrant in respect of the relevant promotion, in any and all media. You agree to waive any moral rights you may have in the images, videos or other media submitted by you. Where relevant, you agree upon Warburtons request to assign to Warburtons any copyright subsisting in any entries you make to a promotion.
